TMS320F28069M: User motor Parameter not allowing to run InstaSPIN UNIVERSAL

Part Number: TMS320F28069M
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MOTORWARE

Tool/software:

I have setup the Lab 3a of Launchpadxl-TMS320F28069M along with Boosterxl-DRV8301 with and BLDC motor , Everything seems fine with default settings that Motorware provides, But when i try to change the default parameters in the
user_j1.h

#elif (USER_MOTOR == Anaheim_BLY172S)
#define USER_MOTOR_TYPE                 MOTOR_Type_Pm
#define USER_MOTOR_NUM_POLE_PAIRS       (5) <-------my motor values
#define USER_MOTOR_Rr                   (NULL)
#define USER_MOTOR_Rs                   (3.3)             <-----------New Value (no problem)
#define USER_MOTOR_Ls_d                 (0.05)         <------------Error in GUI (Unable to enable the system tick make)
#define USER_MOTOR_Ls_q                 (0.05)         <------------Error in GUI (Unable to enable the system tick make)
#define USER_MOTOR_RATED_FLUX           (0.03279636)

User Motor Values

0.362524v/Hz

L-L Resistance -6.6 Ohm

L-L Inductance 20.56mH

Voltage Constant 37V/Krpm

  • Please take a look at guides in the folders below in motorWare, and follow the guides to set up the kits and run the lab. It's better to use the lab02b or lab02c to dientify the motor first to make sure that the motor parametes are correct.

    C:\ti\motorware\motorware_1_01_00_18\docs\labs\instaspin_labs.pdf

    C:\ti\motorware\motorware_1_01_00_18\docs\boards\kits\docs\readmefirst_instaspin_launchboost.pdf

     Please don't add any load on the motor for identification if you are using lab02a/b/c, and set the correct identification variables value in the file of user.h according to the specification of the motor, to make sure the motor spin smoothly during Flux measurement and Ls identification states.

    #define USER_MOTOR_RES_EST_CURRENT     (2.0)                               // A - 10-30% of rated current of the motor

    #define USER_MOTOR_IND_EST_CURRENT     (-1.5)                             // A - 10-30% of rated current of the motor, just enough to enable rotation

    #define USER_MOTOR_MAX_CURRENT           (20.0)                               // A - 30~150% of rated current of the motor

    #define USER_MOTOR_FLUX_EST_FREQ_Hz     (40.0)                           // Hz - 10~30% rated frequency of the motor

  • Thank You, I was able to add the parameters manually now, But the Motor isnt running properly and jerking a lot with uneven RPM.

    Motor Parameters according to the manufacturer.
