TMS320F280049C: C2000Ware_5_04_00_00 sysconfig problems

Part Number: TMS320F280049C
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SYSCONFIG, C2000WARE

Tool/software:

Loaded the latest version of C2000Ware: 5_04_00_00 on a new computer (old computer that had C2000Ware crashed).  Loaded the example C:\ti\C2000Ware_5_04_00_00\training\device\f28004x\getting_started\lab_blinkyled_sysconfig and tried to open "lab_blinkyled_launchpad.syscfg" and I get an error:

Invalid argument '-s': File "C:\ti\C2000Ware_5_04_00_00\.metadata\sdk.json" does not exist

When I go the the file location: C:\ti\C2000Ware_5_04_00_00\.metadata the only thing in that directory is a folder: ".tirex"

Under the project properties for Tools/SysConfig I have the following flags:

-o "syscfg" -s "C:/ti/C2000Ware_5_04_00_00/.metadata/sdk.json" -b "/boards/LAUNCHXL_F280049C"

I presume this is where the error is coming from.  However, there is no "sdk.json" in the entire C:\ti\C2000Ware_5_04_00_00 folder hierarchy.

I am running the latest version of CCS: Version: 20.1.1.8__1.7.1 (both CCS and C2000Ware were loaded today (4/29/2025).

When I try other example programs, I get the same error.

Please advise, thanks,

Paul

  • Hi Paul,

In your .metadata folder, you should be able to see both a .tirex folder as you mentioned as well as an sdk.json file. It sounds like your C2000Ware installation may have encountered an error and was not able to install the files properly

Can you delete the installation and run the installer once more? If that doesn't resolve your issue, I can send over an sdk.json, but if your sdk.json wasn't included, there's a chance other files also weren't installed properly so would be good to verify through the installer

    Regards,

    Peter

  • This resolved my issue, fresh download and re-install after deleting the C2000Ware directory seems to have fixed my problems.

    Thanks for the help,

    Paul
