TMS320F28062: How to change the Development Environments(CCS5 to CCS12)

Hi experts,

My customer is constantly using TMS320F28062.

they have developed TMS320F28062 in the development environment below.

IDE: CCStudio 5.x

Compiler : TI V6.2.9

however, CCStudio5.x is not installed on the latest PC(Window 11).

they try to change CCStudio5.x to CCStudio 12.8.1 and the compiler keep using TI v6.2.9.

but, it build successfully without error, but TMS320F28062 doesn't work when debugging.

please let me know how to change the development environment while minimizing modifications to the legacy workspace.

Robin,

Can you try to use the latest supported compiler available in CCS 12.8.1. That version of the compiler should work for the device in question.

When you mention that the device does not work when debugging, please elaborate on the errors you are seeing in the console window. You can attach a screenshot of the logs.

They tried to build using the latest compiler(15.12.3). but the errors occured as below.

What version of C2000Ware are you using in your project. Please note that the libraries being compiled need to have a version that is supported by the compiler. It would be good to know where you obtained those files from.

I'll also say that the compiler version referenced is not the latest one available in CCS 12.8. Please see this page for the list of supported compilers: https://www.ti.com/tool/download/C2000-CGT
