Generating Square Waveform PWM signal

Hello,

I'm beginner and just starting to work with TI C2000 F28335 Delfino series. I'm trying to generate square waveform PWM signals by using Code Composer v3.3.

I looked example codes such that epwm_updown_aq but this one doent give square waveform. Can you help me how can I generate square Waveform PWM signal?

Thanks.

  • How can you generate anything but a square waveform? The pwm outputs are digital outputs so they will either be high or low unless you hook them up to a lowpass filter or something. Or do you mean a 50/50 duty cycle waveform?

  • Thanks Mikael.

I downloaded the TI teachingrom ssqc019, in lab7 and I tried to do Lab7_1.

    Lab7_1  Objective : Generate 1KHz square wave at ePWM1A with % 50 duty cycle

I cannot observe PWM when I connect oscilloscope GPIOO(For ePWM1A)  and ground in Step 17.

Step 17: Now rebuild, load and test the new project. The program should still show the binary counter from Lab6 at LEDs LD1…LD4. The new feature is a 1 kHz - signal at output ePWM1A (header J6-1 at the Peripheral Explorer Board).

What could be the problem? I tried different PINs but result is not desired.
