TMS320F280049: flash corruption during power down

Hi,
customer is erasing the flash sections. What will happen when a power down happens during erasing?
- will only the flash section be corrupted?
- will the complete flash bank corrupted?
- will also the other flash bank be corrupted?

Hi Holger,

Only the flash that is being erased may be corrupted if there is a power loss. I'll check with some internal teams to see if only the sector being erased will be corrupted or the entire bank.

and one more questions. Can a erase process being stopped (to protect corruption of complete bank) if you recognize power will go down?

Hi Holger,

1. No, we cannot guarantee that only the sector targeted for erase will be corrupted.

2. No, once the registers have been written to indicate an erase command should be executed, you cannot stop the process.
