TMS320F28377D: If the ADC module is set to 16-bit, differential input mode, should I only use the remaining channel sets except for ADCIN12 and ADCIN13 channels?

Part Number: TMS320F28377D

Tool/software:

Hello,

While reviewing section 11.3.5 "Channel Selection" in the TRM for the TMS320F2837x chip, I came across the following note:

"Note: Regardless of configured resolution and signal mode, channel 13 on ADC-A (temperature sensor) and channel 12 on all ADCs are sampled in 12-bit single-ended mode."

F2837x_TRM_11.3.5

Based on this, I understand that even if the ADC module is configured for 16-bit differential input mode, channels ADCIN12 and ADCIN13 cannot be used as they will still operate in 12-bit single-ended mode.

If the ADC module is set to 16-bit, differential input mode, should I only use the remaining channel sets except for ADCIN12 and ADCIN13 channels?
Could someone please confirm whether this understanding is correct? Any clarification would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks and regards,
Sang-il
