TMS320F280039-Q1: Is pin 24, 25 connected internal in 100 package

Hi experts,

I ask this for my customer.

My customer wants to check if pin 24 and pin 25 connected internally because they want to check if they can simply their layout that they can just connect 3.3v to pin 24 and don't connect pin25.

    Shuqing,

    Yes, these are connected/shorted internally.  We recommend they be shorted externally as well, since they are adjacent wouldn't layout be to have local metal pour on the same layer as the PCB pads?  Pad would still be needed so that mechanically the pin is not free/disconnected from the PCB.

    I'm not quite understanding how floating one of them would simplify the layout.  It should be OK to float one of them, but again, I'm not sure how much area this is going to save.

    I think you're right. Customer still want to cut down the connection external.
