TMS320F28P659DH-Q1: SDFM clock input from EPWM

Hi expert.

Good day! I am asking for customer. My customer wants to know if it's possible to connect the 28P65 EPWM output to the clock signal SDFM_C1 SD_Cx inner 28P65(without external wiring).

I have checked the TRM, SD_Cx is only connected to GPIO MUX so my understand is connect EPWM and SDFM_C1 without external wiring. Could you help to check is this correct?

Hi Kita,

Could you please ask the customer to look at the EPG module?

The EPG module was added specifically to generate clocks for modules like SDFM. EPG outputs can be directly routed to SDFM clock inputs, without the need for XBAR.

Please let me know if you have any questions, or if the customer has a problem with using EPG.

I don't think that we have a specific example for this, but it should be straightforward to edit one of the existing EPG examples to provide clock to SDFM.

They will just need to configure this MUX:

Full table is in the TRM.
