TMS320F280049C: Error -716 with XDS110 and F280049C: jscserdes library missing

I’m encountering an problem when trying to connect to my target using the XDS110 debugger and an F280049C launchpad. The error message is as follows:

IcePick_C_0: Error connecting to the target: (Error -716 @ 0x0) Required dynamic library jscserdes could not be located. The library isn't on the search path. (Emulation package 9.7.0.00213)

My CCS version is 11.2

Has anyone encountered this issue before or knows how to resolve it? Is there a missing component in my installation or a known workaround?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Could you try installing a different version of CCS?

The new version is 12.1.0, but still has the same problem: IcePick_C_0: Error connecting to the target: (Error -716 @ 0x0) Required dynamic library jscserdes could not be located. The library isn't on the search path. (Emulation package 9.9.0.00040)

Thanks for the follow-up. I’ve managed to resolve the issue.

The root cause turned out to be an incorrect debugger connection setting. After reinstalling CCS12.1, I noticed that the debug probe was not correctly set. I changed it to “Texas Instruments XDS110 USB Debug Probe” , the error disappeared.
