TMS320F280025C: CAN BOOTLOADER TIMING CONCERN

We are working on the F280025C and have developed a CAN-based bootloader by porting the example program from the F280039C. It is working fine, and we are successfully using it to update our application.

However, our concern is that there is a 30 ms delay between each CAN frame, which results in a longer flashing time.

How can we reduce the flash time?

Hi Hariprasath,

You can try reducing the "sleep_time" in the sln project. The Flash API needs time to program application (it erases before programming if needed), so there is overhead in the API that "sleep_time" accounts for.

You can also rework the kernel to erase all the sectors before starting to program, this will help eliminate the flash erase time overhead.
