TMS320F280039C-Q1: PIEIFR7.INTx16 does not get set in DCC example

Tool/software:

In c2000ware DCC example, dcc_ex4_clock_fail_detect, the interrupt is generated and the ISR is entered. However, the PIEIFR7.INTx16 flag is not set. The group ACK flag, PIEACK.ACK7 is set. Per TRM both flags should be set. Why is the PIEIFR7.INTx16 flag not set?
