TMS320F28377D: About TMS320F2837xD Silicon Errata

Part Number: TMS320F28377D

Tool/software:

I am considering whether to take a workaround for the item "Low-Power Modes: Power Down Flash or Maintain Minimum Device Activity" in the "TMS320F2837xD Dual-Core Real-Time MCUs Silicon Errata."

If there is no possibility of entering Low-Power Modes, is it right not to implement this workaround?

Can I assume that the device will not enter Low-Power Modes unless explicitly set by the user?

If the device does not explicitly enter Low-Power Modes and will not enter Low-Power Modes automatically at startup, etc., I think that the above workaround does not need to be implemented.

Is that right?

T. Mori

  • Hey Takayuki,

If there is no need for entering HALT, STANDBY, IDLE, or other low-power-modes during operation then a workaround is not required.

You are correct that Low Power Mode requires explicit control from the application for enterance.

Assuming the device never enteres a LPM, a workaround for this specific errata would not be necessary.

  • Hi  Zackary,

    Thank you for your reply.
I understand that there is no need to work around the errata.
