TMS320F280023: Error initializing emulator: (Error -260 @ 0x0)

I used by mistake CCS 12.8.1 and when I tried to run the project, CCS was telling me to update the XDS110 debug probe. I did so and noticed only after this that I was using the wrong CCS version. I closed CCS 12.8.1 and opeend the version 12.5.0 which we normally use for our project. But now I can't load the code anymore and I receive the attached error message. I think it is again needed to update the firmware of XDS110 but I can't see how to do it.

Please help.but we are normall working with CCS

Hi Daniel,

For future reference, there should be no issues with updating the XDS firmware to a more recent version (like in this scenario). CCS will detect and revert the debug probe back to a compatible version if firmware is being used where backwards compatibility cannot be guaranteed.

You can manually update the XDS110 debug probe by following the directions here: https://software-dl.ti.com/ccs/esd/documents/xdsdebugprobes/emu_xds110.html#manual-update
