TIDM-1000: No Modulation in Mode 3

Part Number: TIDM-1000

Tool/software:

Hi, I'm using a TIDM1000, with the F28388D card. I'm using the build-in parameters, in mode 3 I have some issue with the PFC, I can clearly see the PWM but the output voltage is not the expected value, I think their is no modulation. The mode N°2 works well. Is there any undervoltage too ?

  • Have you make sure that hardware connections setting and code configuration for Build3 as per the user guide section 6.4.3.4 Running Code (Build 3)?

When looking at expression window, are they matching with that shown in user guide? Any operating condition you have changed other than user guide?

    Regards,

    Sumit

  • I found the problem: in mode 1, I had set up Ethernet, which I was no longer using in mode 3 (Ethernet was on a different core). But even with this core separation, the core was still referencing the Ethernet values (which were always 0 since Ethernet wasn’t active). I discovered this by checking each relevant variable and thoroughly going through the code.

So I could clearly see the PWM working fine, but I had an incorrect Vref (0).
