Tool/software:

1. We used the Elnec programmer platform to program the IC, but Programming setup just executed Frash, and I don’t understand why the IC is locked.

2. We removed the defective IC for verification and it passed. It also passed after re-programming. However, when we put it back on the board, the FCT test still failed. Do you have any good ideas about this?

Hi Ryan,

Are you able to connect to the device through JTAG and try to program via CCS?

Were any passwords programmed to the device prior?

Hi Charles,

Our products do not support JTAG port programming. There is no password set for programming.

Hi Ryan,

If the device is passing verification checks but failing FCT test, does the 'Erase before programming" setting need to be set to Enable?

The device may be acting as locked due to not being able to program existing memory space, so it needs erasure.

If you haven't, I would also recommend contacting Elnec Technical Support for assistance.
