This is my first time using this tool and I am unable to program files. The issue is as follows. How can I resolve it?

self test is OK

because my board has powered on ,so i think i should not select the option "supplied by programmer"

Hi Youjun,

One thing to check, input voltage for this device is 3.3V. Can you check if the power supplied matches this requirement?

The Self-Test showed as OK with this 3.3V checkbox enabled?

Is there anything special to note about hex files (generated through CCS)?

Hi Youjun,

Checking if the generated file is in an acceptable format (*.txt, *.s19, *.s28, *s37, *.hex) according to C2000-GANG user guide.

If there is an external power supply being attached to the target device boards and providing power to them, then the GUI should not be set to Supplied by programmer as it may cause a voltage conflict.

i used *.hex generated through CCS hex utility

i have an external power supply being attached to the target device boards and providing power to them, so i do not select the GUI Supplied by programmer .

Youjun,

Since your PCB/board is powered externally, you should un-check the "Supplied by Programmer", that option is if you want the C2000-GANG to supply the 3.3V for your board.

Currently, the GUI is reporting a under voltage on VCC. The C2000-GANG is going to measure the voltage it sees on pin 5 of the JTAG header in order to determine if the device has power. Can you verify that you have routed the PCB 3.3V supply to this header/pin?

I believe the XDS100 also looks for this in order to establish a JTAG connection, but we need to get rid of this error first from the GUI dialogue.
