Hi All,

We are considering either the MSPM0G3519 or F28P550SG.
as the sub-microcomputer.
We would like to connect Flash and SRAM externally.
Please tell us which interfaces can be connected to external memory.
Also, please tell us if there are any specifications restrictions on the memory that can be connected.

Best Regards,

Ito

  • Both of these devices have an assortment of communications peripherals, SPI, UART, I2C, CAN-FD look to be common to both; any of these could be used to interface to an external flash.  I think UART and I2C may be the most common here; I would make sure whatever memory chip you are looking at is 3.3V CMOS levels, outside of that I don't expect their to be any big concerns.

Both of there devices do have a fairly large amount of internal Flash and SRAM, keep in mind any external memory will not be as fast in terms of execution or fetch speed vs the internal memories.

    Best,
