TMDSCNCD28P65X: CLA Function call in .asm file for C2000

I am trying to call CLA Task function in .asm file triggered by software interrupt to some execute assembly language subroutine.

I am successful in calling CLA Task function if the file extension is .cla .

Can anyone here please guide What check marks I have missed ?

Hi Rohan,

Can you confirm if you are trying to generate an assembly version of the CLA task? If so, you can compile the C code routine and look at the disassembly to begin integration.

Another this you can consider is write your CLA Task in all of assembly by leveraging the compiler intrinsic. please search the C28x compiler manual for the sub-chapter titled Using Intrinsics to Access Assembly Language Statements.

Yes, I trying to generate an assembly version of the CLA task where it toggles a GPIO, subroutine written in assembly instructions in a .ASM file.

CLA is software triggered.
Is there any example code for this?

I don't believe we a formal example but you can compile the C code routine and look at the disassembly to get a baseline assembly code. See this post below.

I am getting undefined symbol error while trying to build the project, which is calling an assembly function in the .asm file from main source file in c.

Is there any compiler setting I need to do to add link assembly function in .asm file from main.c

You need to make sure that the function is allocated to a section in the linker command file. also make sure the symbol is made global in your linker command file.

You can reference the any of the .asm files in the DCL library as as an example. Sample screenshot

The issue was with the compiler, EABI ABI accepts variable and function names, same as mentioned in the C source file.
But in the COFF ABI, compiler prepends _ before variable and functions.
