C2Prog problem:Communication is not established with my 2808

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320F2808

Dear sir,
I am using C2Prog to program Tms320F2808 DSP as the guide pdf step by step. The clock frequency is 20MHz.The CSM passwords are all FFFF.The dsp can communicate with PC over RS232 serial port at baudrate 9600.The C2Prog configration can be seen in the  attachment.I have change the baudrate to 9600 in the target.xml  file.
When I boot the dsp to SCIA bootload mode,I get the fault that
"ping target.......no response!".Can you help me something to do with this problem? Thanks! My Email address is 123477599@qq.com.

Best regards!

  • Liu,

    http://www.ti.com/lit/an/spraal3/spraal3.pdf

Are you using Serial Solution provided in section 3 of Flash Programming Solutions for the TMS320F28xxx DSCs?

Also, I would first confirm whether SCI module works by running SCI examples provided in (C280x, C2801x C/C++ Header Files and Peripheral Examples )

  • Manoj,

I had tried the method of SDFlash programming a weeks ago, before I used the C2Prog.The same as C2Prog,I failed, because the communication also can not be established when I click the program button in SDFlash. The Dsp can communicate with the PC correctly when it runs the normal program over the RS232 cable.I use C2Prog

or SDFlash all as the help documents bidding with these softwate step by step. I do not know what I do not do right.

  • Liu,

I have never used C2Prog to program flash. However, I have programmed flash using SDflash. I used the following document (http://emulators.spectrumdigital.com/utilities/sdflash/c2000/SDFlash_Serial_RefGuide_v3_3.pdf) to program the flash. Please use this as reference.

Not sure how I can be of much help without looking at your hardware setup.

    Regards,

    Manoj
