TMS320F28069-Q1: XDS100-V2 emulator requires sudo on Linux 24.04.2 LTS

Hi,

I installed CCS V20.2.0 on Ubuntu 24.04.2 following this guideline. However, I can't use XDS100V2 to debug my board. The attempt fails with the following error.

When I use XDS100serial tool as recommended by the error message, it locates the emulator successfully.

This is the output when I try ./dbgjtag -f @xds100v2 -rv command.

I get the following when I try the same with sudo

How can I solve this issue?

Hello,

Do you have the correct drivers installed for the XDS100v2? Please see this page for more information: http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/XDS100

The VID/PID seem fine, therefore my suspicion is about the device drivers. You can use FTDI's ftclean utility as mentioned in the page below:
