TMS320F28023-Q1: How to test INTOSC1 waveform

Hi Champs,

Now my customer is checking their power sequence and they use INTOSC1 now. Is there any method to output this signal and test this signal via an oscilloscope? Thanks!

Hello,

The clockout option on TMS320F28023-Q1 is the XCLKOUT pin. By default at power-up XCLKOUT = OSCCLK/16, or the INTOSC1/16.
You can set it to be equivalent to the OSCCLK by configuring the PLLSTS and XCLK registers.

There are more details in the TRM on how to configure the registers appropriately if you want to propagate INTOSC1 without dividers.

Hi Susan,

Will XCLKOUT pin output XCLKOUT = OSCCLK/16 waveform after power on reset? My customer tried to test and found this pin as always high after power on and it didn't output the clock.

Yellow: XCLKOUT

Green: Xrs

Could you help to check this? Thanks!
