TMS320F2800157: dual-core, lockstep

Part Number: TMS320F2800157

Tool/software:

Hello

in the TMS320F280015x Real-Time Microcontrollers datasheet (Rev. C) on page 7 is a Device Comparison. Here the F2800157 and the F2800157-Q1 have both a dual-core lockstep function. On the Ti homepage

https://www.ti.com/product/de-de/TMS320F2800157-Q1 the Q1  device has the dual-core lockstep funktion and on the page

https://www.ti.com/product/de-de/TMS320F2800157 the device has no dual-core locstep funktion.

My question is has the F2800157 the dual-core locstep nodule included?

best regards

Ka Siemer

  • Hi Ka,

Please refer to the datasheet comparison table for differences between device part numbers (e.g. F2800157 vs. F2800157-Q1). The lockstep IP (LCM) is present on all F280015x devices. The "-Q1" devices are targeted towards automotive applications requiring Q100 grade, hence the emphasis on safety features such as lockstep.

    Best Regards,

    Allison
