Hi,

I am programing (G code interpreter) a C2000 to control a 3D printer (currently stepper motors) I would like to use 3 x small brushless servo motors instead, I would prefer to control them through AC, happy to run DC if not, but I understand AC are smoother, if there any sample schematic diagrams and possible code available through TI.

Hi Richard,

Do you want to use the sensored/sensorless FOC method to control the BLDC? Do you want to use a single C2000 to control the 3 motors?

Definitely sensored and a single C2000 for each axis.

Preferably AC driven, not DC if possible.

Hi Rick,

Please download the latest C2000WARE_MOTORCONTROL_SDK and refer to the universal motor control project. The HW is based on standard TI EVMs and you can refer to for your HW design, and for SW, the project demonstrates QEP-based sensored FOC.
