Hello! First off, I'll note that you listed one relevant kit in the title of this thread, though that's a somewhat older kit, relatively speaking. The newest MCU supported by that kit is the F28004x MCU.

My personal recommendation is that you use one of the HW kits supported by the Universal Motor Control Lab in the C2000Ware Motor Control SDK, since you state you're using this for modification and experimenting purposes.

• Refer to the C2000Ware Motor Control SDK 'solutions' folder for a full list of recent and current reference designs and evaluation kits with customizable example code for recent devices. Most of these examples actually have the name of the EVM or reference design in the title of the project, with a few exceptions- for example, the TIDA-010265 firmware also supports the TIEVM-MTR-HVINV high voltage HW.
  
  
• For the Universal Motor Control Lab, which supports several other kits, refer to the specific UMCL User's Guide for a full list of supported hardware.
  • Specifically look at Section 3.1 Supported TI Motor Evaluation Kits
  • When I'm personally testing a new LV motor, I often default to the DRV8323RS or -RH boards, since I know they work well and often have one on-hand in the lab.
