I am using version 12.6 and C2000ware version 6.

I also tried CCS version 20.2 but i could also not get the launch pad to debug mode.

Am enclsoing a snapshoot of the error message I got from the CCS20.2 when I tried to flash the board.  Neither the linker command file for debug nor the flash could get the lauch pad running.  The snapshot is below:

How can I best proceed.

Please make sure you're using cJTAG (2-pin) in the target configuration file (*.ccxml). The F28P55x LaunchPad only supports cJTAG, not 4-pin JTAG.

I presume this is the reply for the CCS version 20.0 which is based on the new eclipse theia framework.   

Have you been able to reproduce the behaviour for CCS12.6 version.  For this the codes runs on the launch pad when I run the code on RAM but does not work when I want to run the code on Flash memory.

This is common for all versions of CCS as cJTAG is the default configuration of the LaunchPad's on-board XDS110.

The cJTAG configuration for the F28P55x LaunchPad can be found in C2000Ware at: "C2000Ware_X_XX_XX_XX\device_support\f28p55x\common\targetConfigs\TMS320F28P550SJ9_LaunchPad.ccxml"

I have checked the .ccxml file for the CCS 12.6 version.  It seems correct.  A snapshot is below:

As I said I can flash the sample code when I write to RAM but this does not work when I want to write to the flash memory.

Please where can the problem be.

I would check the configuration of the CCS 20.2 and get back to you.

The ccxml looks correct for CCS v12.6, please make sure you use the same in v20.2

Are you getting the data verification error error or the JTAG error-2131 message now?

Hi Abayomi,

CCS 12.6 does not have support for this device, which is why you are seeing this error. Please use at least version 12.8.1, and preferably CCS 20, to get the full functionality.

Thank you for your reply.  Yes it now works for version 20.2 after setting the cJTAG to 2 pins but i am yet to get the v12.6 working
