Fast control loop and communication

Hi,

I'm working on a project with a fast control loop, 25us maximum, using a delfino F28335. I'm now designing a way to add modularity to my control block and be able to have multiple modules talking to each other by exchanging parameters. I was wondering if anybody has any ideas how I could add some communication in the smallest amount of time. I have maybe 5us to waste for now. One thing I just saw is the concerto... A new family with a C2000 + Cortex M3. It's probably the best thing suited for my purpose. The C2000 could continue to do 25us control loop and I could dedicate the M3 to do communications... Each module would be composed of a Concerto and their M3 could talk to each other using CAN or SPI... Again, in 25us ( fully dedicated for the comm ), would that be enough to exchange a couple of bytes...

Anybody has ideas :)

Thanks!!
