What is certified RTOS available for TMS320F28P65?

Tool/software:

In one of our products some other vendor microcontroller is used and CMX-RTX RTOS is used to run the application. This specific microcontroller has got obsolete and we are planning to move entire application on TI's TMS320F28P65 controller.

Since CMX-RTX has no port on TMS320F28P65, we are trying to identify alternate RTOS which is as similar as CMX-RTX. Can you please help us with licensed RTOS suggestions which can be ported on this new controller.

HI Chandrashekhar,

From TI, we support FreeRTOS on all Gen3 C2000 devices, including the F28P65x.

In terms of licensed RTOSes, SafeRTOS is supported for F28x devices. This is provided directly by WHIS.

TI does not provide any direct support for SafeRTOS. You can reach out to WHIS for more information regarding this.

There are demo applications available for FreeRTOS in C2000Ware. WHIS provides a migration guide for moving from FreeRTOS to SafeRTOS if you are looking to do the same.
