TMS320F2800157: Can we disable the lockstep?

Part Number: TMS320F2800157

Tool/software:

Hi Team,

1. Is it possible to disable the lockstep feature in the MCU PN: TMS320F2800157? Kindly share with us how to disable this feature.

2. After disabling the Lockstep feature, can we use a single core separately?

Thanks in advance

Regards,

Praveen

  • Yes it is possible to disable lockstep, after lockstep is disabled you can use CPU1 like before. The only difference is that the shadow CPU1 which is in lockstep with CPU1 is not available anymore.

Lockstep enabled - CPU1 and shadow CPU1 run in lockstep

Lockstep disabled - CPU1 is only available, shadow CPU1 is not available

Refer to TRM section below :

    Thanks
