Tool/software:
Hello,
I am currently working with a 5HP Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) and encountering some issues during the motor estimation process. When I performed the estimation with the motor placed on the surface and no pump attached, the waveforms aligned perfectly with the reference waveforms given in the SPRUHJ1.pdf (TI). estimating for values Rs,LS,flux. However, when I attempted the estimation with the motor submerged and a 7-stage pump attached, I noticed significant distortion in the waveform during the EST_State_RatedFlux stage and ramp down. The waveform no longer aligned with the expected pattern, and the estimated values for Ls, and Flux were different compared to the no-load case.
Although the estimation process completed successfully in both cases, the motor did not run properly with either values, i have observed distorted current waveform. For reference, I have been able to perform estimations and run motors of 10HP and 3HP without any issues, both in no-load and submerged conditions.
My questions are as follows: What could be causing the waveform distortion during the EST_State_RatedFlux stage when the motor is submerged? is there anything that i am missing specific to 5hp as same code works for 3hp and 10hp, then why not 5hp?
Any insights or suggestions to resolve these issues would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
M.Sri Hari
