Hello, may I ask why I encountered this error when I added the DCSM module to SystemConfig and moved the corresponding dcsm.asm and dcsm.cmd files to the syscfg folder for compilation and download

  • Hello,

This issue typically occurs when the "Verify after flash programming operations" option is set in the CCS On-Chip flash tool or Uniflash. When custom CSM passwords are programmed between addresses 0x78020 and 0x78028 and a verify operation is performed to confirm the password values that have been programmed, the device will become immediately locked since the verify operation dummy loads the new passwords into the DCSM module which will no longer match the values programmed by the Boot-ROM into the CSMKEY registers.

After you unlock the DCSM by providing your custom passwords in the Uniflash or CCS On-Chip flash tool GUI, you won't see this issue in the future unless you update the passwords again. To avoid this issue altogether you can disable the verify operation on the first-time programming of the passwords, and then enable the verify operation after the next device reset if desired.

    Thank you,

    Luke
