We are reaching out regarding the use of an external SPI flash chip to store firmware images for the TMS320F28388D device.

and wanted to inquire if TI has a recommended part number (PN#) for an external SPI flash that is compatible with this device.
Our current plan is to use a 2MB external SPI flash, as each CPU requires approximately 512KB, and we anticipate needing more than 1MB in total. If TI has a recommended PN#, we would prefer to leverage it to take advantage of any existing source code or reference designs, which would help us reduce development and testing efforts.
We appreciate your guidance and support on this. (beyond the 5+ year old e2e post referenced above...and this for SPI Flash not Q-SPI Flash, just FYI)
