TMS320F28388D: cm uart udma for tx data on gpio 84

Hi Yair,

You will need to follow the correct order of steps: load & run uart_config_c28x on CPU1 and load & run your modified uart_ex2_loopback code onto the CM core. See documentation about this here: 6. Debugging multiple cores — C2000 Multicore Development Guide.

Also note that the example code only transmits data once (not repeatedly) so to see it on a scope you will want to trigger on the falling edge.

Ok thanks I debuged the program and changed it to do a udma rx of 50 bytes and I do polling on this 50 bytes rx. After the 50 bytes arrives I do a dma tx of the same 50 bytes. I use the same buffer for tge rx and tx. In order to do the tx I also use polling.

Is there a way to do this using interrupts instead of polling?

Yes, there is an interrupt example in C2000ware called uart_ex1_echoback that shows how to do receive operations via interrupts. For transmit operations, the UART_INT_TX can additionally be enabled and the ISR can check which flag was set in order to perform the correct operation.
