TMS320F28232: Uniflash not able to read locked deivce

Part Number: TMS320F28232
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UNIFLASH

Tool/software:

Hi Experts,

I am trying to read locked F28232 using UNIFLASH, below are the steps:

1. Enter password and click unlock -> console shows unlock success

2. Go to memory tab and clock export, input memory range 0x330000 - 0x 33FF80

3. Export -> console shows success

However, the exported file shows all memory as zero.

At this point, without any power cycle or reset, I close UNIFLASH and open CCS, connect to the target (with GEL file removed)

As soon as I connect to the target, I can see the program in 0x330000 in the memory browser, which means the device is in deed locked.

Is there any issue with UNIFALSH support on reading locked F28232?

Regards,

Hang

  • Hang,

I'm going to re-assign this to the Uniflash team, one clarification, in Uniflash when you unlock the device, if you open a memory window to 0x330000 can you read the contents, or do you see all 0x0000 in Uniflash?

If you read the password locations in Uniflash, after unlock, do those appear correctly?

    Best,

    Matthew

  • In addition to the question above, please also provide the version of UniFlash being used.

    Thanks
