We want to switch from Sysbios / TI-RTOS to FreeRTOS on the TI DSP.


Is there a guide/instruction on how best to do this?


Are there any restrictions on using FreeRTOS on the TI DSP (TMS320F283xx)?


What is the minimum requirement for Code Composer Studio (which version) when using FreeRTOS on the DSP? (We are still using version 10.1)

    Hi Nico,

    Please note that we only support FreeRTOS for Gen3 C2000 devices, so the kernel available in the C2000Ware is not supported for your device F2833x. Please find answers to the remaining questions below.

    There is no migration guide available as such. You can refer to this document which may be helpful when migrating your code (it is not specific to F28 devices, but is likely applicable).

    Minimum version of CCS required (with supported devices) is v11.1.
