Currently working on -LAUNCHXL-F280039C bootloader, so I need some details about -LAUNCHXL-F280039C board. please find the quires below.

1.Is custom bootloader source code being available For -LAUNCHXL-F280039C board

2.I need to flash the application image via UART, it is possible to achieve in -LAUNCHXL-F280039C board. if possible, means how can do that is any programmer tools available for TI board, for example in STM32 can achieved via stm32cube programmer

Yes, we have a SCI bootloader implementation available in C2000Ware for F28003x devices. Please refer to this application note for details.

Hi Matt,

Thanks for responding me. Actually, whatever you referred me it seems to be in-build bootloader in F28003x series right. I will look into this at same time I need to know can update the firmware via custom bootloader (open bootloader) in same F28003x series.

Hello,

That's correct. However, the bootloaders in the ROM can only load code into RAM, so a flash kernel is downloaded first (by the ROM bootloader) and leveraged to receive/program the application into the flash. You can convert this flash kernel to execute from the flash instead of the RAM, serving as a custom bootloader. This would cut out the ROM bootloading step.
