  • Hello,

Are you saying that the customer wants to plan for a backup firmware upgrade method for the bootloader in case of failure during programming?

One option they could explore is configuring the BOOTDEF registers to include a backup ROM bootloader option (SCI, CAN, etc.) in case of failure. In the event of failure, they can configure the boot pins to execute the backup ROM bootloader and load a flash kernel to program the new bootloader into flash.

    Best,

    Matt
