MIDAS-SAFETY-REPORT-CREATOR: F28P659SH6PZ Customization parameters details

Part Number: MIDAS-SAFETY-REPORT-CREATOR
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MIDAS

Hello,

I am customising the FMEDA for the  F28P659SH6PZ microcontroller in MIDAS safety report creator.

  1. I find list of parametere under the "Product function tailoring" with part name such as ADC_Common, ADC_Macro, ADC Wrapper0,1,2 etc. similar part name I find it for other MCU blocks.

May I know how do I use these to decide whether safety related or not. Where can I find the details related to these part name. Is it part of the software configuration? Please share me the details and related documents if any.

2. Also in the Custom Diagnostics tab, could you share the details on how to use this data for customisation as per our application

Let me know if you need any information.

  • Hi,

When the peripheral is used for implementing safety function then its safety related and if the peripheral is used but not for safety implementation rather for functionality then its not safety related.

The sub part to peripheral mapping description is captured in the F28P65x_FMEDA_MidasRC_Database_Part_Descriptions_Addendum pdf in the safety package.

    2. Also in the Custom Diagnostics tab, could you share the details on how to use this data for customisation as per our application

This is optional, in case the safety mechanisms listed in safety manual are not sufficient or user needs to add a system level custom diagnostic then they can use this.

Each item listed there is a failure mode which can be selected and assigned custom diagnostic coverage. dcp - permanent diag. coverage dcl- latent diagnostic coverage and dct - transient diagnostic coverage.

    Thanks
