Hi,

I am using the dual core led example and I see that LED with just one core was blinking faster <1s but when I load both the .out files (I run cpu-1 followed by connect cpu-2 and then load cpu2.out followed by run on cpu-2) the LEDs (both from cpu-1 and cpu-2) blink at much slower rate ~5seconds.

Can you please help me identify what is causing this issue?

On another note, I want to use CPU-1 for motor control and CPU-2 for CAN communication where they both can store/access data/variable. Can you help me point in the right resource/material/training-videos to setup CAN for CPU-2 and also how to store/access data between the two CPUs.

I realised the LED Is blinking normal after I reset the launchpad. Can I know why is this? (I am using flash_standalone and flash on cpu1 and 2)

Hi Sumeet,

I would definitely check out the delay_US function in the two applications and make sure that the inserted delay matches what you would expect on the device. In the below example, the delay between turning the LED on/off is 500ms.

//
// Delay for a bit.
//
DEVICE_DELAY_US(500000);

As for resources for getting started, I would recommend looking at the IPC academy training to understand how to share data between two CPUs. You can also look at the IPC examples provided in C2000Ware.

Hi. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Apparently dual CPU projects required a reset after loading (I came across some post). Not sure why, but this seems to fix the issue.
