TMS320F28P650DH: BISSC implementation design on f28p65x

Hello,

After analizing the application note tidue73a along with the libraries in the c28x sdk 5.5, I would liek to receive support on a especific block in the clb configuration. I would like to know why FSM2 in TILE4 has state ecuations for s0 and s1 while having the extrai nput xe1. I tohught that if you use the extra inputs, you have to give a state bit, thus preventing to use it as state ecuations anb being substitued by xe1. How is it that you can use s1 as state ecuation along with xe1 for the 3 input lut?

Hi David,

All FSM's can be used as a LUT and a FSM at the same time or strictly one or the other if you prefer. If you use the extra inputs, you don't necessarily need to give a state bit (although they can be used within the LUT equation).

The LUT equation can use a combination of state bits, normal inputs and extra inputs. While the FSM states can only use the state bits and normal inputs

Hello,

Thank you for your response. An also, what about the peripherals and hw requirements like pins, peripherals, specific configuration, etc. needed to use the bissc? In the past it was needed to use PWMs, and specific tiles but in this new application note it does not seem be any specific.
