C2000WARE: CCS keeps moving my files!!

Part Number: C2000WARE
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SYSCONFIG

This is very odd. I am using Version: 20.3.1.5__1.9.1

At first I thought it was my fat fingers, but this just keeps on happening. But it is random, so how to duplicate? Anyways:

It seems to happen once very few days that CCS will decide to move one or more of my files from the source directory and hide them in the "build" directory along with the .d and .obj files.

If I can find some way to actually duplicate the problem then I'll upload.

At first this was quite frightening because the file was just "gone". Not in the recycle bin, etc. Now that I know where CCS is hiding the source code, it is now just an inconvenience. But I wish you would stop :-)

Are the files in question generated files from SysConfig? SysConfig generated files default to being generated inside the build configuration subfolder. Did you move them to another location in your project?

    Thanks

  • Hi Ki, no I don't use SysConfig [yet].

Honestly though, given the randomness of the event I'm not sure what to I expect TI to do with this question. I think cleanest might be to close this ticket and I'll keep an eye out to see if I can duplicate and/or maybe it simply goes away with next release.
