TMS320F28379D: Selection of the ADC

Hi Team,

I am looking for the external ADC which should be compatible with this DSP for interfacing and ADC should meet all following requirements:

  1. Minimum 25MSPS sampling rate to sample 3MHz sinusoidal signal
  2. Minimum Two channel
  3. High through put data communication
  4. Should be interfaced with TMS320F2879 DSP.
  5. Comparatively cheaper as it is cost sensitive project.

For the above requirements, we have zero down to the ADS4222 ADC and felt it would be more suitable for our application. 

Could you please tell us the compatibility from Controller side that what are the pins from Controller can be used for interfacing this ADC? Is 12 bit parallel CMOS interface, compatible with this Controller? Is there any suggestion for better ADC than this for our requirement? Your feedback and insights would be much appreciated.
