TMS320F280049: Three phase 115 VAC 400Hz induction motor-pump for hydraulic application

Part Number: TMS320F280049

Hello,

We are in search of a three phase controller reference design for an induction motor ( with no feedback sensor)  for a hydraulic pump. What TI would recommend for this application ? Would a V/F control be sufficient ? Or would you suggest a sensorless FOC control ? What products/reference design does TI offer ? Appreciate your urgent response.

  • Generally, v/f is find for pump and fan with ACIM, Sensorless-FOC could be better if the application needs a precision torque or speed control.

Please download and install CONTROLSUITE, and you might find the related sensored-FOC, sensorless-FOC, or scalar v/f control example projects for ACIM that are based on F2803x or F2806x. You have to migrate this project by yourself if you want to use the other C2000 MCUs.
