TMS320F28375D: DCSM for F28375S and F28375D

Part Number: TMS320F28375D

Hi champs,

I am asking this for our customer.

The user has used F28375S with DCSM for their products for years.

But for some reason, they have to upgrade to F28375D with minimum code modification.

For DCSM, if they only use Z1 for both F28375S and F28375D and secure all related RAM/flash, they should use exactly the same way.

That is, they can just use the same method for DCSM from F28375S to F28375D.

Is it right?

On F28375D, even 512KB flash for CPU1 and 512KB flash for CPU2, but for DCSM Z1 perspective, they are the same.

Is it right?

  • Hi Wayne,

As there are two CPUs on F2837xD devices, each CPU subsystem has its own CSM for code protection. Each CPU subsystem’s CSM has dual-zone security, which means the CPU1 subsystem has two zones (zone1/zone2) and CPU2 also has two zones (zone1/zone2). In terms of functionality, they should be the same from a DCSM zone perspective.

    Best,
    Matt
