LAUNCHXL-F28P65X: Overcurrent Error when starting the Motor with using DAC128S085EVM on the LAUNCHXL-F28P65X Board.

Part Number: LAUNCHXL-F28P65X
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DAC128S085EVM,

Hi,

I connected the DAC128S085EVM to the  LAUNCHXL-F28P65X Board. I installed the required Jumpers, bended J5-42 and connected JA-2 to JB-2 using a jumper wire.

When DAC128S_ENABLE is not enabled and the DAC128S085EVM installed, no error occurs when running the Motor.

The Problem occurs, when i enable DAC128S_ENABLE and start the Motor. The first few seconds, the currentUnbalance bit turns to 1. After a few seconds, ModuleOverCurrent sets to 1. The Motor never starts to actually spin with the Predefine DAC128S_ENABLE.

  • Can you please provide more information to help us understand the questions? Any inverter board (boostxl) are you using? The boostxl and dac boards are installed on any sites on launchxl? Any example lab are you using? Any changes are you making?
