TMS320F28034: Flash erase time

hi team,

what's teh maximum flash erase time of F28034?

Cstoemr reflected that the erase time of F28034 is <12s in old device. but the erase time incrases to 24s in the last material they received. could u kindly help to give some advise? thanks!

Hi Zoey,

Apologies for the delay due to the US holidays. The max flash erase time for F28034 should be 12 seconds for each 8k sector. Could you please share a photo of the top marking of one of the units the customer received where they are noticing 24 seconds?

I assume they are erasing the same amount of data in both cases right?

Hi Zoey,

Thank you for sharing. I am seeing if I can extract more data from the lot trace code on the unit. Could you also provide the top silk marking for one of the old units (so I can compare)?

When did the customer receive the latest batch of units that show the increased flash erase time? Do all units from this batch show the same flash erase time?

Hi Marlyn,

The latest batch they received is in November and not all the units have seen this problem. the rate is around 2.875%
