TMS320F28379D: link error while adding deadband firmware

Part Number: TMS320F28379D

Hi Sir/madam,

What changes we need to do to firmware, when following error is coming? I was trying to add deadband code from examples folder.

  • Hi Prashant,

Can you share your linker cmd file for further analysis. The error is based on insufficient space to accommodate text contents.

Please try adding more memory for the text section, this will help in fitting your entire text contents in the configured memory sections.

    Thanks

    Aswin

  • Hi Aswin,

I am not able to share linker command file. If you know please , let me know how to do it. Otherwise I copy paste the file here for your analysis.

  • Hi Prashant,

I could see there are not enough memory in the RAMLS locations to accommodate the text section.

Can you try using the GSRAM location instead of LS RAM for the text section.

    .text : >> RAMGS0 | RAMGS1 | RAMGS2, PAGE = 1

Try this and let me know if you are still facing the issue.

    Thanks

    Aswin

  • Hi Aswin,

    Thank you very much.
