TMS320F2801: TMS320F2801PZA

Part Number: TMS320F2801

After testing 1100pcs, it was found that 20pcs of the programmer and software could be successfully connected, but the program burning failed. When testing the 5V power supply waveform on the board with an oscilloscope, it indicated that the chip was locked. Could you please check what the reason is? Thank you 2cbf85dc-46b0-4b68-951d-7c302f64ff2e.jpg

  • Jack,

All devices come from TI in an erased state and unlocked.  If a flash programming operation is interrupted, there is potential for the CSM passwords(which are located at the end of Sector A) to get programmed to a non-erased value.  If this happens it will lock the CSM, and since the password is unknown we cannot unlock the device.

I would suggest looking at the programming setup, if there have been any changes, or if the JTAG/USB connection cable may be going bad, power supply issues, etc.  As long as there is good connection and stable power, the flash operation will not be interrupted.

    Best,

    Matthew
