TMS320F28P550SJ: tmp file errors

I am upgrading an existing 28035 project to use a 28p550. The old project used bit-field but I would like to use driverlib on the new project. Since there are numerous bit-field statements, I needed to use both driverlib and bit-field. I have been able to install both including the compiler symbol _DUAL_HEADERS. Things seem to be working but I am getting errors on the CLATask assembly file. They reference tmp files but I can not find them on my machine which is a Mac. Here are some of the errors.

Please help on how to resolve errors that are in tmp files. Also, are the errors caused since I have both bit-field and driverlib active/

I found that if I change the Compiler Runtime Model Options for the Application Binary Interface from eabi to coff, the errors go away but linker problems occur. Why would the Applicaiton Binary Interface setting cause this problem?

Hi Dennis,

We have a COFF to EABI porting guide (https://software-dl.ti.com/ccs/esd/documents/C2000_c28x_migration_from_coff_to_eabi.html).

The issue is likely underscore name mangling (COFF) vs no underscores (EABI) in the assembly file. Specifically https://software-dl.ti.com/ccs/esd/documents/C2000_c28x_migration_from_coff_to_eabi.html#assembly-code-changes
