Same as this post but not the same device (F28P650DK to F29H850TU)

We will not be using EtherCAT in our system but need ethernet.

So is it posiible to deactivate the EtherCAT capability and use the hardware as a generic ethernet por?

Hi,

Thank you for your query.

No It is not possible to disable ethercat ports.

Please note that the EtherCAT IP in the F29 and F28P65 devices are EtherCAT ASIC IP, thus repurposing the same for EThernet is not possible.
