How to make ePWM signals low after quit 'Pause' ? --- Urgent

Hi,

I was using ePWM signals to control a H-bridge inverter. During the testing, I have to pause the program in debug mode, then resume, and maybe go back and forth.

I really want to know how to configure the ePWM module, so if I pause the program and then resume, the ePWM signals are forced to be low. ( to protect my circuit).

in other words, every time I quit 'pause', I want the ePWM signals to start from low.

I forgot to mention that I am using TMS320F28035 microcontroller.

I think in your situation it is best to configure the PWMs in FREE-RUN mode. This is done in the PWM TBCTL register. Please refer to SPRUGE9.
This will allow the PWM timers to continue to run while the program is paused and prevent your PWMs from getting stuck constantly high/low.

There is a way to configure the trip zones to force the PWMs low/high on emulation STOP events, but I dont know if it works on PAUSE as well. This is configured by enabling TZ6 in the PWM TZSEL register and then configuring the PWM TZCTRL register's TZA and TZB bits accordingly. This is also found in SPRUGE9.

Also, during your debug, have you already tried using real-time mode? If you just need to update variables in the watch window, real-time mode will allow you to do that without halting the device.
